The apartment is located in the centre of Paris (3rd district) with easiest access to areas like Le Marais, Beaubourg, Pompidou Museum, Notre-Dame de Paris, Les Halles, Opera Garnier, Grands Boulevards, Canal St. Martin, Bastille.
You can walk to these places in 15 minutes maximum. Use any of the six Metro lines nearby to get directly where you need without transferring in the underground corridors. Eurostar station Paris Nord is only two Metro stations away from the apartment.

The apartment is located between two interesting neighborhoods. If you use the southern way out, you'll head to the older part of Paris, a generally quiet network of narrow streets: Le Marais, animated by the Gay and Jewish areas, Picasso Museum, the Hotel de Ville (city hall), Notre-Dame cathedral, Les Halles, Pompidou Museum.
The atmosphere of the north side is less bourgeois, more bohemian, with more popular and ethnic hints, with Turkish, Indian or African shops full of original products you hardly find anywhere else. The nearby Canal Saint-Martin area is a nice place for a stroll, especially on Sundays when only pedestrians are allowed. Therefore, especially on sunny days, many people gather there, by the water or on the park lawn to picnic, have a drink or just walk by, in a typical display of the Parisian BoBo spirit.
